Coming to a strange country, don’t speak the language and desperately want to belong.
Getting to footy has to be the biggest thing that happened in my life.
I’m uniquely aware that my personality is very different because of my two cultures.
The longer that I live and the more I live through experiences, the less I see the importance of labelling who I am.
I want to see people celebrate difference and understanding. We’re a culture of having a crack and we’re a culture of being tolerant to people who want to have a crack.
That’s solidified who what we’re about as a nation. We put our arms around our newcomers and we’ll do anything we can in our power to make them part of us.
